A simple static website created for my personal home recording studio. I wanted a creative excuse to build a clean, lightweight site to hone my skills, as well as a platform to showcase my audio related services, for potential future clients.

I was aiming for a clean and minimal layout, combined with playful, hand drawn illustrations, and gritty halftones. It’s for a recording studio, so I wanted audio gear to be represented heavily. I also love chunky sans serif type, and used Magnetik as the primary typeface. The illustrations were made by hand in Procreate, with a gritty mono brush, with sections filled intentionally out of the line art in some places.

As this was one of my earlier hand coded projects from start to finish, I feel I achieved the clean and minimal look I was aiming for. Because there is very little code ‘bloat’, the site is lightning fast, and it succeeds in portraying the relevant information, without much clutter.

It isn’t currently an active site in use, and therefor could be taken to the next steps with responsiveness, animation, and further refinements, but I feel it did it’s little job well.
